Sydney’s Royal National Park Walk

Sydney's Royal National Park Walk

Who doesn’t love an adventures walk? Sometimes it’s the places so close to home that take our breath away the most and literally. The Burning Palms walk is about a 45 minute drive from Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs and the 3 hour trek is definitely worth it. I mean, look at these stunning views. There’s something so mesmerising about watching the waves roll in against grassy cliffs.

The first time I went, it wasn’t well known. it wasn’t busy, nor was it commercialised like it was just visiting recently. This hidden secret is out and it was actually amazing to see how many people were dedicated to be doing exactly what we went to do that day.

A little hint, I would go first thing in the morning, the tracks all around the Royal National Park now get so busy that rangers start closing the roads around midday.

The walk started off a little cold, so we came prepared with jackets, beachwear and of course something to swim in to cool us down once the sun started to heat up. Next time we would go slightly more prepared and bring more water, sunscreen and snacks.

One of the things I loved most about the walk back up to the car was two 10 year olds were selling Zooper Dooper ice-blocks. Day made and i’m sure they made bank!

It is such a great feeling being able to venture somewhere new every weekend and it is something i’ve always loved to do. An even better feeling is taking someone you love to somewhere you love and seeing them love the place as much as you do.

Ready for some more adventuring, next coming up is The Sunshine Coast and Bali.
